It is a 4-year deal and Laimer had confirmed prior to Leipzig’s German cup success that he will be leaving the club.
The 26-year-old has bagged 190 appearances since moving from Red Bull Salzburg in 2017 and has enjoyed a successful spell at Leipzig.
“It’s a dream come true for me,” said Laimer.
“Bayern always has the highest goals – just like me. I’m in the right place here.”
Bayern have bolstered their squad in order to mount a serious challenge not only for the Bundesliga next season, but for the Champions League, where they fell short this campaign, crashing out in the 1/4 finals.
