Brentford ink Igor Thiago from Club Bruges on a 5-year deal

Brentford have inked Brazilian attacker Igor Thiago from Club Bruges.

🔴⚪️🇧🇷 Brentford have included an club-side option into Igor Thiago's contract to extend it for further season, potentially valid until June 2030.

Club Brugge will receive more than £30m for Thiago.

The young striker (22) will remain in his current club in Belgium for the rest of the campaign before landing in London at the beginning of the summer transfer window.

Igor, who has netted 16 goals in 24 league matches this campaign, has inked a 5-year deal with an option for an extra season.

“We have inked a crucial footballer for a key position. Thiago is a very exciting forward who fits the role in our club,” shared the Bees’ head coach, Thomas Frank.

Thomas admitted a few days ago that he thinks that Ivan Toney will leave the club after the end of the season.

Thiago inked with Club Bruges in March 2022 from Bulgarian side Ludogorets, where the Brazilian netted 15 goals and provided 8 assists in 32 league games.
