Goals from Ethan Pinnock and Bryan and Bryan Mbuemo were enough to complete a nightmare day for the Blues, who were left to rue missed chances.

The hosts created plenty of opportunities in front of goal, but were unable to convert them and Pinnock’s unbelievable header in the second half punished them severely.

Mbuemo rounded it off deep into stoppage time as the visitors took full advantage of the empty net as Chelsea’s goalkeeper Robert Sanchez was up front for a corner.

The result places Brentford 10th in the table, one place ahead of Chelsea, who have succumbed to their 9th home defeat of the year, just in the Premier League alone.
