Boston started with a comfortable victory in the series against Atlanta.

Jaylen Brown finished with 29 points and 12 rebounds to help Boston Celtics to beat the Atlanta Hawks 112-99 in Game 1 of the East 1st round rivalry at TD Garden in Boston, MA.

Jayson Tatum notched 25 points, 21 of them in the 1st half. Derrick White also scored 25 and grabbed 11 rebounds as Celtics will face the Hawks again in Game 2 on Tuesday.

The 2nd seed in the Eastern Conference led by 32 points at one time after the visiting team failed to score their first 10 tries from the 3-point line and scored only 5 from 29 shots beyond the arc in the match.

Dejounte Murray scored 24 points, grabbed 8 rebounds, and gave 6 assists for the Hawks. However, the big star of the franchise, Trae Young, finished with only 16 points.
