Rookie Jake Moody failed to convert a 41-yard FG with 6 seconds left, leaving the 49ers defeated 19-17 by the Browns, who ended San Francisco’s regular-campaign winning streak at 15 today and handed QB Brock Purdy his 1st defeat as a starter in the league.

Dustin Hopkins scored 4 FGs for the Cleveland Browns (3-2) – the final with less than 2 minutes left on the clock, scoring a drive helped by a disputed unnecessary roughness call vs. the San Francisco 49ers (5-1). Browns registered the NFL’s biggest upset this campaign without QB Deshaun Watson, who missed his 2nd match in a row with a shoulder injury.
During the match, San Francisco suffered a huge loss because both playmakers Christian McCaffrey and Deebo Samuel left the field injured. P.J. Walker came off Brown’s training squad and played better than Purdy, who threw his 1st pick this campaign and ended the clash with just 125 yards.
The 23-year-old San Francisco QB Brock had triumphed in his 1st 10 starts and almost secured the comeback for his franchise again, but the missed field goal meant that his organization would lose tonight.
Brock Purdy’s regular season winning streak ends at 10 after a 19-17 loss to the Cleveland Browns.
