Cody Zeller notched 20 points for the Floridian team that ended 3 games losing streak.
Each of Max Strus and Kevin Love finished with 18 points, as Tyler Herro scored 15. Mavs had their best shooting performance this season with 61% but still lost.
“I wouldn’t necessarily have drawn it up this way,” Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said.
Luka Doncic almost had a triple-double as he scored 42 points, gave 8 assists, and grabbed 10 rebounds. Tim Hardaway Jr. helped with 31 points as the other team star Kyrie Irving notched 23.
“Our defense was nonexistent,” Dallas coach Jason Kidd said. “Couldn’t get stops.”
Dallas will travel to play against Atlanta Hawks on Sunday, while Miami will make a trip to play on Tuesday against Detroit Pistons.
