Cam Thomas scored 43 points and the Phoenix Suns beat Brooklyn Nets 116-112 for their third straight win on Tuesday night.
The 21-year-old shooting guard also had five rebounds and three assists while Mikal Bridges finished with 21 points, eight rebounds and two assists.
Thomas became the youngest player in NBA history with three straight 40-point games. He had 44 and a career-high 47 points in his previous two games.
The Suns point guard Chris Paul recorded his 2500th career steal during the first quarter. The 37-year-old became only the 4th player in the NBA’s history to swipe 2,500 steals.
Devin Booker returned for the Suns in the close battle, helping Phoenix improve to 3-0 on the road with 19 points, four rebounds and six assists. He hasn’t been seen in action since Christmas Day.
Deandre Ayton led the Nets with 35 points, matching his career high, and 15 rebounds.
The Suns will travel to take on the Atlanta Hawks next in a rematch on Thursday while the Nets host Chicago Bulls on Thursday.
