The Blues trashed their opponents in a friendly.

Mauricio Pochettino’s debut as Chelsea’s head coach was successful as they won against Wrexham 5-0 in the 2 sides’ 1st match in their US tour.

Ian Maatsen netted 2 goals before the 1st half as Conor Gallagher, Christopher Nkunku, and Ben Chilwell – which all entered the match in the 2nd half scored the other goals in the last 10 minutes of the clash in front of more than 50,000 people at the Kenan Memorial Stadium.

Mauricio gave a chance to many players, as Enzo Fernandez, Mykhailo Mudryk, and Noni Madueke were outside the group for the match as they worked to catch up with their fitness.

However, Pochettino gave a chance from the 1st minute to all new players – Malo Gusto, Andrey Santos, Diego Moreira, and Nicolas Jackson and the Blues netted after only 3 minutes vs. their League 2 opponent.

“I’m very satisfied because of the attitude,” Chelsea’s manager shared after the victory.
