The Blues began formal talks with the Seagulls for the player.

Chelsea are interested in signing Robert Sanchez, and they already began talks with Brighton.

Under the new Brighton head coach – Roberto De Zerbi, Sanchez lost his place as the 1st goalkeeper as the Italian prefers Jason Steele.

The Blues want to add the Spaniard so he can compete with his compatriot, Kepa Arrizabalaga.

The Seagulls signed the Dutch goalkeeper Bart Verbruggen for over 20 million dollars and are ready to sell Robert.

It’s still unclear if the Blues want to buy him or if they want to take him on loan.

Verbruggen took the No.1 shirt, and Sanchez’s days in Brighton are numbered.

Robert has been with the Albion since he was 15 years old.

Chelsea must buy a new goalkeeper in the current transfer window after Edouard Mendy signed with Al Ahli in July and will continue his career in Saudi Arabia.
