Chiefs beat 49ers in OT for 2nd consecutive Super Bowl title

Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, and Andy Reid are officially a part of a dynasty.

They had become the 1^st back-to-back Super Bowl champs in 19 seasons.

Mahomes threw a 3-yard TD pass to Mecole Hardman in OT, and Kansas City rallied to defeat San Francisco 25-22 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, NV, becoming the league’s 9^th repeat Super Bowl champions.

That was the Chiefs 3^rd Super Bowl triumph in the past 5 years, a run that puts them among the NFL’s greatest organizations.

The National Football League’s 1^st Super Bowl in Las Vegas was not the show that we expected until the 4^th quarter and the overtime. It was the 2^nd of 58 title matches to be even after regular time and the 1^st played under new OT rules that ensured that both franchises got the ball.

Kansas City trailed 22-19 after Jake Moody scored a 27-yard FG on the 1^st possession of OT, but Patrick rallied his team back, securing another impressive comeback in a rematch of the Super Bowl 4 years ago.
