The Dane had been sidelined for over a month with a knee injury and has missed 7 games so far. His last appearance came against Luton in November.
The Red Devils will be keen to implement him back into the squad for the festive period.
It is a huge boost as the Red Devils have been plagued by severe injuries this season with 9 players missing simultaneously.
In their latest game, a hard-fought 0-0 with Liverpool, Erik ten Hag really had to stretch his legs with Scott McTominay, Sofyan Amrabat and Kobbie Mainoo in the starting lineup in somewhat improvised midfield.
