The Catalans were in full control of the game as they left their inferior opponent no chance whatsoever.
Summer signing Joao Felix scored his first goal for the team to give the host an early lead, while star striker quickly followed suit to make it 2-0. Felix was again at the core as he provided the assist.
Nothing changes in the second half as Barcelona continued to dominate possession and to create threats. One such opportunity arose in front of Ferran Torres from a free-kick in the 62nd minute and the scoreline was 3-0.
Just 4 minutes later his replacement Raphina slotted home fourth after a superbly curled shot from 20 yards out.
Nine minutes before the final whistle Joao Cancelo rounded off the final scoreline of 5-0.
Xavi’s men currently sit at the top of La Liga with 13 points out of possible 15, while Real Madrid have 12, but still with a game in hand.
