Chelsea won the FIFA Club World Cup, beating European champions Paris Saint-Germain with a dominant 3-0 victory in the final in New York.
Cole Palmer was the star of the night, scoring two goals in quick succession — in the 22nd and 30th minutes — both with clinical precision that exposed PSG’s defensive lapses. His finishes were almost carbon copies from the edge of the box into Donnarumma’s right corner.
Joao Pedro added a third in the 43rd minute, effectively ending the contest before halftime. His goal came off a slick move down the left and a great through ball from Palmer.

While PSG improved after the break, creating chances through Ousmane Dembele, who was stopped by Sanchez and Vitinha, who narrowly missed from distance, they were unable to penetrate Chelsea’s defense. The French side’s frustration boiled over late on when Joao Neves received a red card for pulling Marc Cucurella’s hair.

The final was played in front of sold out crowd at MetLife Stadium as US president Donald Trump and FIFA president Gianni Infantino were at the VIP lounge exactly one year before the 2026 World Cup final will be played at the same stadium in New Jersey.
