Alpha Tauri driver Daniel Ricciardo will almost certainly miss the next two races of the Formula 1 season – in Singapore and Japan. This is the prediction of Red Bull boss Christian Horner.
The Australian has a fractured left wrist following his crash in second practice for last week’s Dutch Grand Prix at Zandvoort and has been replaced by Liam Lawson
“There is no chance that Daniel will be ready for Singapore,” Horner explained. – “I think it will be too optimistic for Japan as well. But his recovery is going well, his arm is still immobilized. We have seen how motorcycle racers can suffer more serious injuries and concussions when they rush to get back on the track before they are fully recovered. We want to make sure he is fully fit before he gets back in the car.”
The Qatar race is on October 8, assuming Ricciardo will be fully fit.
