It is a massive blow to the Cleveland team, who aspire to stay in the playoff hunt.
Rookie Jones has had a very solid performances ever since Week 1, when he stepped in Jack Conklin’s place as he endured a season-ending injury.
The team also acquired backup quarterback P.J. Walker, who went 1-1 as a starter earlier this season while Deshaun Watson was dealing with a shoulder injury. Walker also came off the bench at Indianapolis when Watson got hurt and was instrumental in Browns’ win.
