Jesper Bratt proved to be the hero for New Jersey as his second goal of the night with only 34 seconds left sent his team over the moon.
Jack Hughes had a goal and two assists , while Luke Hughes came off with vital power play goal.
The Devils were leading the way, but their stubborn opponent fought back and reduced a three goal cushion to tie the game.
J.T. Miller had a power-play goal and an assist for the Canucks. Brock Boeser, Nils Hoglander, Sam Lafferty and Dakota Joshua also scored for Vancouver.
Thatcher Demko made 26 saves, while opposing goalie Vitek Vanacek had 28 of his own.
