Grigor avenged his defeat from Daniil in Vienna last week.

Grigor Dimitrov, world number 17, won against world number 3, Daniil Medvedev, 2-1 sets at the Masters 1000 in Paris.

The Bulgarian won the 1st set after converting 2 breaks from 2 opportunities as his Russian opponent had 4 break points but converted only 1.

In the 2nd set, Dimitrov was again 100% at break chances as he had only 1 and converted it. On the other hand, Medvedev needed 7 break points to win 1. The set was decided after a tiebreak, which the Russian won 7-4 points.

In the deciding set, Grigor was serving for the match as he had converted 1 break earlier in the set, but at that moment, Daniil broke him as the Bulgarian had 4 match points but won neither of them. The 3rd set was decided also with a tiebreak, but this time Dimitrov triumphed 7-2 points and advanced to the next round at the Masters in Paris, where he will face Alexander Bublik.
