Novak Djokovic was showing great form, winning his first match since undergoing knee surgery, advancing to the second round at Wimbledon. Djokovic, who is aiming to match Roger Federer’s record of eight men’s singles titles in New England’s Club, defeated Vit Kopriva 6-1, 6-2, 6-2 on Centre Court.
The 37-year-old Serb had surgery on a torn medial meniscus in his right knee on June 5, following an aggravation of the injury during the French Open. Despite wearing a knee support, Djokovic showed no signs of discomfort against the 27-year-old Czech qualifier.

In the second set, Djokovic broke early, demonstrating his trademark ability to turn defense into attack. He forced Kopriva into errors, stretching his right leg to stay in rallies and converting opportunities efficiently. Djokovic secured three more breaks of serve, winning the match with three consecutive aces to seal his victory in style.
