Novak Djokovic defeated Daniil Medvedev in straight sets at the US Open final in New York and triumphed with his 24th Grand Slam – as he is solo at the top with 2 more Grand Slams than Rafa Nadal.
The Serbian won the 1st set 6-3 as only 1 break was enough at the beginning of the set for the victory as his Russian opponent didn’t have any break point chances.

The 2nd set was the closest as neither of the players was able to convert a break – Medvedev had 2 chances while Djokovic had only 1. In the tiebreak, Daniil led 3-1 points, but Nole made a comeback and won the tiebreak 7-5.
The Russian took a medical timeout after the 2nd set and was able to break Nole once in the 3rd set, but Djokovic converted 2 breaks from 2 chances and won the set 6-3.
