Miami's cornerback will miss the upcoming season in the NFL.

The Miami Dolphins CB Artie Burns is expected to be unavailable the entire upcoming campaign after tearing his ACL on the organization’s 1st day of training camp.

An MRI revealed that the cornerback sustained the injury yesterday shortly after the beginning of practice. Artie suffered the problem after tangling up with a teammate during position drills and slamming his helmet, unhappy with what had happened. Then the cornerback left on crutches.

The CB inked a 1-year contract with Miami during the offseason after playing in the last 3 campaigns for the Seahawks. Burns has not been a full starter in the past almost 10 years, but had the chance to compete for such a role with the Dolphins.

Miami boss Mike McDaniel shared yesterday that while the franchise believes in its current cornerbacks, they will try to improve in that position.

After Artie’s injury, Miami inked veteran CB Cornell Armstrong, who hasn’t played in the past campaign, and he was part of the Raiders’ practice team during the 2023 season.
