Eden Hazard has expressed his ambitions to stay with Real Madrid until his contract expires and does not plan to depart the club in the summer.
Hazard joined the club back in 2019 on mega deal from Chelsea, worth around €150m, but the attacking midfielder has struggled to adapt at the Spanish giants as his spell with the club has mostly been plagued with injuries.
The picture is no different this year with the 31-year old making just one appearance throughout the whole campaign. Despite that, the Belgian seems determined to be part of the 14-time Champions League winners next season as well.
“It’s been a difficult year, but with a very big team,” Hazard told Cadena SER.
“I have a good relationship with the club and with the players too. I want to play, but I know it’s very difficult. I have to work and hope I can play more.”
Hazard has managed to bag only 4 goals in his 4-year career at Real Madrid and ever since manager Carlo Ancelotti was re-appointed in 2021 the Belgian playing time has been reduced almost to none.
