The Reds are 2nd with 74 points after 34 games – 3 behind EPL leaders Arsenal and 1 ahead of Man City but the Sky Blues are with 2 games in hand. Klopp’s side won only 1 of their last 4 league matches.
Everton were rewarded a penalty in the 8th minute, but VAR showed that there was an offside in their attack, and it was canceled.
In the 27th minute, the Toffees scored again and this after VAR review the goal stood as Jarrad Branthwaite gave the home side the lead.
Darwin Nunez had a fantastic chance to tie the match in the 35th minute after Mo Salah’s assist inside the box but he missed the golden opportunity to tie the result and Everton had a 1-goal lead after the 1st half.
The Toffees doubled its lead in the 58th minute when Dominic Calvert-Lewin header went into Alisson’s net as Dwight McNeil assisted for the goal from corner.
