The Football Association (FA) is keen for Gareth Southgate to stay on as England’s head coach no matter what happens in the Euro 2024 final at the end of the weekend vs. Spain.
Gareth’s current deal expires at the end of 2024, and the manager revealed that he will consider his future after the end of the European championship.
The Three Lions were seconds from being eliminated in the 1/8 finals by Slovakia before Jude Bellingham’s phenomenal goal to force additional time, while Gareth had beer cups thrown at him after the group-stage goalless match vs. Slovenia.
🚨 The FA will try to persuade Gareth Southgate to remain as England manager until at least the 2026 World Cup regardless of the outcome of Sunday's final against Spain. 🏴

It was rumored that Southgate will not longer lead England after the tournament but advancing to the final made a strong case for the boss to remain at the helm.
The Football Association always wanted Gareth to keep his current job until the World Cup in North America but for this to happen, Southgate must ink a new contract in the upcoming months.
