Ex-Spanish Football Federation president Luis Rubiales has been suspended from all football-related activities for 3 years because of his kiss at the 2023 Women’s World Cup final, the football government shared today.
FIFA’s disciplinary committee has suspended Luis for 3 months first after the scandal during the award ceremony as he kissed on the lips Jenni Hermoso as his nation triumphed 1-0 against England in Sydney during the summer.
The president refused to give his resignation for a long period of time, but after FIFA handled his ban, the Spanish authorities tried to remove him from his position, and Jenni sued him; he decided to step down on September 10th.
