The Reds failed to win at home against Aston Villa.

Liverpool and Aston Villa finished without a winner – 1-1 at Anfield as that almost ended the Reds’ chances to clinch the top 4 in the league.

Ollie Watkins missed a penalty in the 22nd minute for Villa, but 5 minutes later, Jacob Ramsey scored after Douglas Luiz assisted to take the lead at Anfield.

Emery’s team had the lead till the last minute of the match when Roberto Firmino, who played his last game for the Reds, netted to tie the match.

The referee gave 10 minutes of extra time, but Liverpool failed to win in front of their fans.

Liverpool is in 5th place with 66 points after 37 games, and their chances of finishing in the top 4 at the end of the season are very miraculous.

Aston Villa is in 7th place with 58 points after 37 matches and can play in the European tournaments next campaign if they keep it.
