His play was instrumental in Bayer Leverkusen’s historic campaign. Wirtz is contracted with Leverkusen until the summer of 2027, and his transfer value is estimated at 110 million euros.

Bayer Leverkusen won the German championship for the first time in the club’s history, completing an undefeated run throughout the entire tournament. The team’s remarkable season could be further embellished by successes in other competitions. Leverkusen will face Kaiserslautern in the final of the DFB-Pokal, with hopes of adding another trophy to their cabinet. The team is also set to play against Atalanta in the decisive match of the Europa League, aiming to secure European silverware.
