The Ukrainian became the undisputed heavyweight champ when he defeated his English opponent via a split decision win in their 1st highly anticipated bout at the beginning of May. One judge gave Tyson the victory as his decision was labeled scandalous by experts.
Oleksandr is the 1st unified heavyweight champ since Lennox Lewis beat Evander Holyfield in a 1999 rematch in Las Vegas. At the same time, it was Gypsy King’s 1st loss of his career.
The 2 boxers had inked a 2-fight contract that featured a rematch on October 12th, but the two sides reached an agreement for the bout to happen at the end of the year.
Alalshikh confirmed on social media that Riyadh would welcome the rematch and that the world could prepare to watch another historical clash.
