Getafe have been ordered to partially close their central stand for 3 games by the country’s football federation after the racial and xenophobic abuse suffered by Sevilla head coach Quique Sánchez Flores and footballer Marcos Acuña in last weekend’s league match.
The Disciplinary Committee have sanctioned Getafe for the racist and discriminatory chants towards Sevilla’s Marcos Acuna and Quique Sanchez Flores. 👨⚖️

Official Iglesias Villanueva stopped the game in the 2nd half as part of the league’s protocol against racism after he heard supporters in the stands directed racial insults toward Sevilla’s player.
Quique shared after the clash after his team’s 1-0 victory that he also suffered racism from a group of supporters during the episode.
Getafe must pay 29,000 dollars fine for the incident.
The Spanish Football Federation announced that the closed area in the stadium must display a visible message condemning violent, racist, xenophobic and other forms of discrimination.
