Mason Greenwood will try to rejuvenate his career after a loan move to Getafe.
The striker left Manchester United after a mutual agreement and has gone abroad to Spain.
The 21-year-old didn’t feature in Getafe’s 2-1 loss to Real Madrid, but head-coach Jose Bordelas stated his optimism about the player’s status.
“It is too delicate a situation to trivialise this issue.” the team boss said.
“Everybody knows what happened, the appropriate measures were taken.”
“He’s a footballer of the highest level, who comes to Getafe with enormous hope. We are going to help him to recover his best level.”
Greenwood was arrested in January 2022 on allegations of sex assault.
In a statement last month, Greenwood accepted he had “made mistakes” and took his “share of responsibility”, but added: “I did not do the things I was accused of.”
