Despite the NY Giants inking Daniel Jones to a 160 million dollar contract in the past season, the team’s GM Joe Schoen and manager Brian Daboll have the approval from ownership to select a QB, if that’s what they want.

New York currently has the 6th selection in the upcoming NFL Draft.
“If they really like a QB and think that it’s worth selection No. 6 or moving up, I’m OK with that,” owner John Mara shared today at the National Football League owners meetings.
The general manager has already made it known that the franchise is, at the very least, looking at QBs with the high selection and Jones coming off a campaign with 2 serious injuries. Daniel is currently rehabbing a torn ACL. The organization has already had Michigan’s J.J. McCarthy and North Carolina’s Drake Maye in for meetings.
“I’m aware that they are scouting quarterbacks. You already know that.” the Giants owner told the reporters.
