Guler makes Real Madrid squad for 1st time this campaign

Arda can make his debut for his new side against Rayo Vallecano.

Arda Guler has been named in the Royal Club squad for the 1st time this season ahead of Sunday’s match vs. Rayo Vallecano.

Real Madrid paid more than 20 million dollars to Fenerbahce during the summer transfer window for the teenager. However, Guler underwent a knee procedure shortly after landing in Spain before a minor problem delayed his availability further.

However, Arda has been training hard lately and has moved 1 step closer to making his 1st appearance for Real by being named in the squad for Carlo Ancelotti’s team’s next clash.

“He began training this week with the club,” Ancelotti shared ahead of the match. “Guler is recovered, but he lacks playing time.

“However, Arda will be in the squad. We are going to prepare a specific plan to get him in better physical shape, but the most important thing is for him to be with his teammates and show what he can do on the pitch.”
