Erling Haaland smashed Alan Shearer’s record by reaching 100 EPL goals more quickly than anyone in the league’s history – doing it during his team’s 5-4 victory against Fulham in London.
The Manchester City goalscorer, who could have chosen England at the international level, has had a phenomenal campaign so far as he has already scored 20 goals in 19 matches across all tournaments.

Erling had surprisingly come into the match in London on the back of 3 straight blanks in front of goal, in losses by the Magpies and Leverkusen, and the victory vs. Leeds a few days ago.
“I’m really happy with that achievement,” Haaland shared after the clash. “The 100 goals are an extraordinary thing. To do it so fast makes me proud. I shared many times before – a forward for the Sky Blues must score a lot of goals. That’s what they bring me here to do, and I’m happy that I’m doing fine.”
Haaland sets the record as he needed only 111 matches to score the hundred goals and beat Shearer’s record, who achieved it in 124 matches.
