Today, it took nearly 4 minutes for the Philadelphia 76ers president of basketball operations Daryl Morey to talk about James Harden. He shared why the superstar is not part of the franchise’s media day.
“I want to speak about James Harden,” Morey shared, sitting on a dais next to manager Nick Nurse, both wearing matching blue blazers at the beginning of the interviews. “Harden is not here today. He continues to want a trade, and we’re working with his entourage to resolve that in the best way for our organization and, hopefully, for him also.”
The 76ers have yet to advance past the second round during Joel Embiid’s time in Philadelphia. The clock is ticking.
Will this year be any different? Where do things stand with James Harden?

James’ decision to miss the media day is the latest attempt of the star to leave Philly. The Beard’s preferred destination is the Los Angeles Clippers.
The 76ers still demand a lot for Harden, and the franchise from LA didn’t want to provide what Philadelphia wanted for the guard.
