England international Harry Kane has shared a video message saying goodbye to Tottenham, as Bayern Munich announced his transfer minutes later.
“Hi everyone, I wanted to be the first to tell you Tottenham fans that I will be leaving the club today,” he said. “Obviously a lot of emotions going through me right now, sad to be leaving the club I’ve spent nearly 20 years of my life at from an 11-year-old boy to a 30-year-old man.”
“Hard to put into words how to say goodbye to a club and fans who have done so much for me in my career,” a caption, shared alongside the video, read. “You will always be in my heart. Thank you Tottenham, thank you Tottenham fans.
Kane joins Bayern after spending 14 years as Tottenham player. His move to the Allianz Arena will eclipse Bayern’s transfer record, which is currently the £72 million they paid for Lucas Hernandez in 2019. As per reports, Bayern will pay £99.7 million
For Tottenham, Harry Kane recorder 435 games, scoring 280 goals and adding 64 assists.
