The 2nd set was much more competitive as Holger won it with only 1 break. The crucial break was when the Austrian served in the 7th game but allowed Rune to have 5 breakpoints, and the Danish tennis player converted the 5th chance to lead 4-3.
That was the 1st match between Rune and Thiem on the ATP tour. Rune will face in the 3rd round the winner from Cerundolo and Berrettini.
