Ilkay Gundogan joins Barcelona officially

Ilkay Gundogan inked his contract with Barcelona and will join the club after his deal with Manchester City expires.

He signed a 2-year contract with an option for an additional year as the club set his release clause at 400 million euros.

The Sky Blues refused to offer Gundogan a deal for more than 1 season with an option for a 2^nd, and that’s why the player decided that his feature is away from Etihad.

Ilkay will join Frenkie de Jong, Gavi, Franck Kessie, and Sergi Roberto in the Catalan club midfield.
