“This is not a time we wanted to have or a time we are happy to be in,” the German said. “It’s a time we can show that the club is really special.
Liverpool are 10th in the English Premier League standings with 29 points, 11 behind fourth-placed Newcastel United. The Reds failed to win any of their last four league games, recording three defeats.
Everton are 18th but the Tofees beat leaders 1-0 on Sunday,
“The boys delivered a lot of great moments in the last few years,” added Klopp. We are fighting to change the situation in a better direction.
“I believe the better behaved in lower moments the quicker you get into good moments again. I am really looking forward to a proper derby atmosphere and a proper football game.
“[Everton] A very compact side, very good in counter, set pieces will be important. You could see that in their last game.
“A really good game, they had good chances before they scored and the goal eventually came from a set piece. The difference is it is not there [Goodison Park] it is here. We have to make sure it is clear in the game as well.
“Definitely all the signs are there [that the players want to respond to defeat at Wolves]. We know we have to show that on Monday, but in training it has been really good.
“The aggression is there, determination is there, readiness is there, the focus is there, concentration is there, intensity is there. So far a really good week.”
