Jung Hoo Lee signed a 6-year, 113 million dollar contract with the San Francisco Giants yesterday, the biggest outlay for an Asian-born hitter coming to MLB and crucial inking for San Francisco that had reeled in recent seasons from free agent woes.
Jung had been rumored to continue his career in the San Diego Padres, where his friend Ha-Seong Kim is part of. However, after Shohei Ohtani inked with the LA Rodgers in a megadeal, San Francisco decided to act and signed the fielder to a long-term contract.

While Hoo Lee is not as good as Ohtani, Judge, or Correa, he has huge potential, and that on what the Giants count on as he showed great things in the Korean Baseball League.
