The Reds' boss is not satisfied with a simple apology from the governing body

Jurgen Klopp has requested the controversial game between Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool to be replayed after a high-profile refereeing mistake.

The Anfield team was severely done by, when Luiz Diaz’ goal was wrongly disallowed due to miscommunication between on-field match official Simon Hooper and VAR assistant Dan England.

Later PGMOL came out with a statement, admitting that there was a severe ‘human error’ that led to the lack of intervention by VAR, which has cause a major outlash among the footballing world.

Reflecting on the matter, Klopp stated that if justice were to be served, the match should be replayed.

“Something like this never happened, so that is why I think a replay is the right thing to do,” said the German.

“The audio didn’t change it at all. It is an obvious mistake. There should be solutions for that. The outcome should be a replay. But it probably won’t happen.”

“The argument against that would be it opens the gates. It is unprecedented. I’m used to wrong and difficult decisions, but something like this never happened.”
