Ex-Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp would reportedly “seriously consider” replacing Xabi Alonso at Los Blancos if they approach him. Xabi left the Royal club after just 8 months at the helm, with Alvaro Arbeloa replacing him as interim manager.
Klopp is at the moment the Head of Global Soccer at Red Bull, but speculation is that he will seriously consider returning as head coach if Real Madrid offers him this chance.
At the weekend’s Barca beat Los Blancos 3-2 at the Supercopa de España final in Saudi Arabia, and less than 24 hours later, the Royal club shared that Alonso leaves his post by mutual agreement. Xabi’s period will be remembered with rumors of problems with the stars of the club, as the biggest conflict of the Spaniard was with Vini Jr., who showed several times publicly that he is unhappy with his treatment.
Klopp would consider the opportunity to become Real Madrid’s manager after the end of the season if Los Blancos offered him the position. The German head coach holds a major appeal about being the boss of the Royal club, and that could be the key factor for him to return as head coach.
