Russel Westbrook secured his first win as Clippers player

After a poor run of form LA Clippers finally managed to overturn the tide after an enthralling victory over Memphis Grizzlies 135-129 on Sunday night.

It didn’t look good for the LA team, who at one point were trailing by 15 points against a Memphis side thah was missing key players such as Ja Morant, Dillon Brooks, Steven Adams, and Brandon Clarke.

However, they showed real character, and in the second half staged a stunning comeback to ensure an emphatic win and end their 5-game losing streak.
Kawhi Leonard and Paul George were the stars of the show as they scored 34 and 42 points respectively

New Los Angeles Clippers point guard Russell Westbrok says that that the energy in the building made it even that much more fun during his first win with the team.

“We did a good job of closing out the game tonight, getting some defensive stops. I think they scored [17] points in the fourth,” the delighted Westbrook said. When asked what the Clippers are capable of, he said, “I already know. My job is to keep instilling confidence in Paul and Kawhi to do this every single night. The rest of us do our part, we’re gonna be a hard team to stop.”

LA Clippers will be looking to carry the momentum against Toronto, who they face on Thursday night. Memphis in turn have a trip to Los Angelese, where they will play against Lakers on Wednesday night.
