Kyren suffered an ankle sprain during the weekend’s 26-9 win against the Arizona Cardinals, a match in which the running back rushed for a career-high 158 yards and a TD.
RB Ronnie Rivers also suffered an injury in the match against the Cardinals.
McVay didn’t share when his running backs will be on the field again but admitted that it would probably take time before they can compete again.
Because of that, Los Angeles elevated Royce Freeman to the active squad and inked Darrell Henderson, who was waived by the organization last campaign, to the training squad. Rams also inked RB Myles Gaskin off the Minnesota Vikings’ practice roster and put him in their active squad.
McVay shared that the team is getting ready to play without Williams and Rivers, and rookie RB Zach Evans got the 1st carries after their injuries vs. Arizona.
