The Los Angeles Lakers signed a long-term deal extension with Anthony Davis, as he will receive 270 million dollars for the whole contract through 2028.

The LA NBA franchise is keen to have Davis for the upcoming years and inked him with the “full” 3-season max extension worth 186 million dollars that Anthony is eligible to sign.
Today is the 1st day that the player is able to sign the extension, and he did it, as from Lakers wanted the deal to be finalized before the beginning of the season after the 2 sides figured out the final details today.
Anthony was owed almost 41 million dollars for the upcoming season and almost 44 million dollars in 2024-25 in the old contract.
Anthony turned 30 years old, and some Lakers fans are concerned about his problems with injuries, but the organization believes in him and decided to sign him to the NBA’s richest annual extension, averaging 62 million dollars a campaign.
