The highlight of the match was the return of superstar LeBron James, who had been absent the last month due to injury. James came off the bench for only his second time in his long 1,958-game NBA career and scored 19 points.
He had been sidelined for 13 games and in that period Lakers won eight and lost five.
However, the Los Angeles team didn’t have much to celebrate as the Bulls run riot and proved the better team.
Zach LaVine scored 32 points for Chicago, as DeMar DeRozan added another 17 for their seventh win in the last nine games.
Lakers were without D’Angelo Russel who is missing with a right hip injury.
Next up on the road for Lakers is a trip to Chicago again on Wednesday, while the Bulls visit Clippers on Monday.
