The Los Angeles Lakers emerged victorious in their clash against the Orlando Magic 106-103 in a hard-fought match, which saw plenty of turnarounds on Monday night.
Late rallies from D’Angelo Russell and LeBron James helped Los Angeles snatch victory from the jaws of defeat as Orlando suffered their first loss of the season.

“What you guys see is a team figuring it out,” Russell said. “This isn’t the product that it will be in a month or two from now. Every game matters. Every clutch situation matters. Every practice matters. So we’re figuring it out.”
It was a fabulous performance from the returning Russell, who bagged home 28 points (12 of which in the last quarter) and 8 assists; James had 19 of his own.
Gary Harris Jr. scored 17 points for the Magic, who will rue their missed opportunities at the end. Franz Wagner added another 16, while Jalen Suggs had 15.
“I think our guys’ effort was there,” Orlando coach Jamahl Mosley said. “The intensity, the fight, the resiliency is what we’re asking of them, and we knew what it was going to be in this environment. For our guys to sustain that is a good sign. It didn’t just come down to those last couple of shots.”
