Al Nassr player Aymeric Laporte has shared that footballers like him who joined the Saudi Arabian championship the past summer are “dissatisfied,” citing working conditions and unfulfilled promises.
The Spaniard inked with Al Nassr in a 30 million dollar transfer from the Sky Blues during last summer’s transfer window, joining Cristiano Ronaldo at Al Nassr.
Aymeric’s comments after Jordan Henderson ended his half-year stay at Al Ettifaq to ink with Ajax two days ago as superstar Karim Benzema is also looking for opportunities to leave the Saudi Pro League this month after a very bad period since inking with Al Ittihad.
“It is completely different compared to Europe, but in the end, the most important thing is adaptation,” Laporte shared with media. “They haven’t helped us to adapt. Many footballers are unhappy. They support us but not enough for my liking. That is to say, in Europe, you receive good money, but they take better care of you.”
