Rashford scored in eight of his last nine league appearances

Late goals from Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho earned Manchester United a hard-fought 2-0 Premier League victory at Leeds United on Sunday.

Rashford, who scored to spark United’s comeback from two goals down in Wednesday’s 2-2 draw with Leeds, tormented the Yorkshire club once again.

He netted with 10 minutes remaining at Elland Road to make it four successive Premier League games with a goal, The England striker has scored in eight of his last nine league appearances.

Five minutes later, Argentine Garnacho came off the bench to seal United’s win.

The Red Devils are second in the standings with 46 points from 23 matches. Arsenal are top on 51 from 21 games, Manchester City, who face Aston Villa on Sunday, are third on 45 from 21 matches.

Leeds, who sacked American Jesse Marsch on Monday following a run of seven league games without a win, are 17th with 19 points.
