The Reds were the far superior team, controlling much of the possession and creating most of the dangerous chances.
Captain Virgil van Dijk gave them the lead in the first half as he made his way through the Sheffield’s defense, completely unmarked, to collect a fine cross from Trent Alexander-Arnold.
The visitors continued their momentum into the second half, but somehow failed to extend their advantage. Luckily for them, the Blades were lacklustre in attack and had only one shot on target.
In the end, Dominik Szoboszlai netted a stoppage time goal to round up the final scoreline.
Victory means Liverpool remain second with 34 points, 2 adrift from League leaders Arsenal.
