Braces by Salah and Jota pushed the Reds to a convincing win

Liverpool managed to beat Leeds 6-1 away in their Plremier League clash on Monday, showing glimpses of their well-known style that the fans were missing this season.

With the win Liverpool is now six points away from fourth-placed Newcastle with one less game played and their hopes for a Champions League spot next season are still very much alive.

The Reds opened the scoring in the 35 minute when Alexander-Arnold sent an inch-perfect pass into the feet of Kody Gakpo who had an easy job just to tap na ball in.  Just four minutes later Diogo Jota did a superb job and passed the ball to Mohamed Salah and the Egyptian shot into the left side of the net.

Two minutes after the break Leeds got back into the game when Luis Sinisterra received the ball into the box and chipped Alison for 1-2.  Five minutes later, though, Liverpool got back their two-goal lead. Diogo Jota collected a pass and fired a shot inside the right post.

In the 64 minute Gakpo managed to send a through pass to Mohamed Salah who scored his second goal of the night. With quarter of an hour left on the clock Diogo Jota also scored his brace with a low shot from the edge of the box.

Right at the end Darwin Nunez also got his name on the scoresheet after a second assist from Alexander-Arnold, scoring for the final 6-1.
