The transfer will beat Chelsea’s 115 million pounds to Brighton for Moises Caicedo and will become the new record for the highest transfer fee paid by a British team. Florian will become just the 10th player in history to be transferred for a fee of over 100 million pounds as he joins the company of stars such as Neymar, Kylian Mbappe, and Jude Bellingham.
The young German star, who is still only 22 years old, was wanted by all the biggest teams in Europe, such as Real Madrid, PSG, and Man City. However, the Reds won him with their project and made him the key footballer in the future of the squad. Even Bayern Munich were unable to compete with Liverpool and the money that the EPL giants could offer to Leverkusen.
